Geography
The subject area seeks to produce teachers who understand, interpret and respond to ever-changing physical, political, socio-economic and environmental challenges.
Students study Physical Geography, Human Geography, Methodology and practicum.
The subject is offered under the Post A’ level course which runs for two (2) years only.
Entry Requirements
This is a Post A’ Level Course 
  • At least 5 O’ level passes including English, Mathematics and Geography at grade C or better
  • At least 2 A’ passes including Geography as the target area of study

Commercials
Riding on the Motto “Your ideas are tied with a key; our department unlocks them”, the Commercials subject area seeks to produce knowledgeable and effective teachers in the disciplines of Commercials.

Five key course components characterise the subject area, which include but are not limited to Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Commerce, and Teaching Methods in the Commercials.
Commercials subjects are only offered under the Post A’ Level Two (2) Year Diploma Programme

Entry Requirements
This is a Post A’ Level Course 
  • At least 5 O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics
  • At least 2 Points in 2 A’ Level Commercial Subjects including Accounts

History
The Department focuses on:
- Developing relevant Historical skills to solve practical problems.
- Capacitating trainee teachers with Heritage-based teaching and learning.
- Research and innovation.
Objectives of history and heritage studies:
- Encourage trainee teachers to take pride in their national Heritage.
- Relate the past to the present and future.
- Facilitate an appreciation of diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Promote civic engagement and social responsibility.
